Mackenthun’s City Meats & Groceries in the mid 1900’s
Arthur Mackenthun in 1928 when the building was erected in the same spot of the old meat market. Before it was sold to Arthur Mackenthun, it was a meat market operated by J. H. Dickhudt. This building had been enlarged and modernized several times as necessitated along with the growth of the business.
